By Air
The nearest airport is Veer Surendra Sai Airport, Jharsuguda (JRG), which is approximately 55km from Sambalpur. It has regular flights connecting to major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai,Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Kolkata. From the airport, one can hire a taxi or take a bus to reach IIM Sambalpur.

By Rail
